To Dive or Jump Suddenly: This definition refers to the act of quickly moving downward, often into water. For example, someone might “plunge” into a pool or “plunge” off a diving board.
To Engage Bravely or Boldly: In a figurative sense, “plunge” can mean to undertake something daring or risky with determination and courage. For example, someone might “plunge” into a new business venture.
